Redlands Spinners & Weavers Inaugural Camp – Boonah – August 2020

11 – 13 August 2020

We are pleased to announce that this year we are holding our annual Camp at “The Outlook” training and conference centre located just outside the pretty township of Boonah. Located approx 80 kms (70 mins) south west from Brisbane (or approx 50 kms from Ipswich) this pretty town (population 2700) is within the locality of the Scenic Rim and hosts great cafes, golf and sporting clubs, hospital, art gallery and hotels amongst other interesting shops in the main street.

The Outlook centre is a peaceful retreat on the Ipswich Boonah Road and provides full accommodation with air conditioning and power outlets to all twin bed rooms which contain king single beds and shared bathrooms. Average daily August weather: 22° – 4° – perfect for our woolly hobbies.

We are providing our own chef who will prepare delicious freshly prepared meals and all dietary requirements can be catered for.

In addition to the large air conditioned hall, we can conduct our spinning and workshops in the large outdoor area which can be enclosed and heated. We are planning Eco-Dyeing, single colour Brioche Stitch and Tunisian crocheting workshops. Bring your items and garments to display and discuss on our Show and Tell Table. Lucky Door, Raffle tickets and product shops will add to the vibe and fun of the Camp.
